Women’s Perspective: Free to Dream: What Do You Dream? Picturing Our Inner Lives

VarYox.Az and the Azerbaijan Artists’ Union invite women artists active in Azerbaijan to submit artworks for inclusion in the 2025 edition of the Her Art in Action festival. The festival aims to highlight women’s voices and experiences through art.
The theme for 2025 is “Free to Dream: What Do You Dream? Picturing Our Inner Lives” This encourages women to reflect on how they want to be portrayed through art and how they can creatively express their experiences.
Candidates may submit an existing artwork or propose a new one. If selected, VarYox and festival sponsors will provide financial support for the creation of the proposed artwork. Candidates must submit a budget and timeline for the production of new works. Production costs will be covered based on the availability of funds. A jury and festival’s curator Lesley Gray will determine the final list of artworks. Artistic proposals will be evaluated based on their alignment with the festival theme and feasibility within the specified timeline and budget.
